Movie Clips from Mt. Fuji Climb

Notes:  A couple things to keep in mind while trying to view these...  First of all, since this is a "protected area" on our web site, the system will ask you for the USER NAME and PASSWORD if you just click on each item.  This is because the Windows Media Player tries to start each movie directly by opening a new connection to the website.  Then the movie usually doesn't play right the first time because the Media Player starts before the full movie is downloaded, so you have to play it more than once to get it to run correctly.

The better solution is to right-click and use the "save target as..." feature to save the videos to the hard disk somewhere, then run them from there.  Saving them to the "desktop" is probably the most convenient.  Enjoy!

  • On the way down, the lava was so loose that every step caused you to slide, making it an exhausting trip.  In some respects, going down was harder than coming up!  The route was longer too.
  • The next two videos are of a group of people pulling a disabled person up the mountain.  Very selfless of them, as it is hard enough to get to the top with just your backpack!
